PLENTY OF SOLUTIONS

No two patients (or breakouts) are the same. We take the time to understand your skin and your goals before recommending a personalized treatment plan.

A PLAN FOR YOUR SKIN

Untreated acne can lead to permanent scarring and lasting skin damage. Early, effective treatment doesn't just clear your skin today — it protects it for years to come.

DON’T DELAY

85%

of young adults aged 12-25 years old are affected by acne vulgaris, the medical term for acne.

  • Acne develops when the skin produces excess oil, known as sebum. Sebum plays an important role in maintaining skin hydration and protecting against certain bacteria, but when too much is produced, it can mix with dead skin cells and block pores. This buildup creates the environment where pimples and other acne lesions form.

  • Hormonal changes are one of the most common contributors — which is why acne frequently appears during puberty and pregnancy. Stress, diets high in refined carbohydrates, certain medications, oil-based skin care products, and underlying endocrine conditions can also play a role. While these factors may not directly cause acne, they can make breakouts harder to control.

  • Because acne can be caused by different factors, we build a personalized treatment plan based on your skin and your specific triggers. After evaluating your skin and medical history, we may recommend one or more of the following:

    • Prescription medications, including Accutane® when appropriate

    • Laser therapy, including AviClear® — the first FDA-cleared laser for acne

    • Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments

    • Acne extractions and medical-grade facials

AviClear in particular offers lasting results, with most patients seeing continued improvement for months after their final session.
